Squawking Hawk Acres, or SHA for short, is emerging into the world as a permaculture homestead and demonstration site, a community gathering space, and a venue for creative and educational events. Established in November 2012, this beautiful 3 acre property is home to a small intentional community of cultural-creatives. We are practicing growing our own food, saving seed, living lightly on the land and in harmony with the natural systems, and developing our skill sets in order to be resilient, adaptable and self-sufficient in these rapidly changing times. We are sharing our journey in an effort to educate and empower others to do the same.
Please read our Vision and Mission Statements and explore our site to find out more about who we are, what we’re doing, and how you can get involved. Feel free to contact us with any ideas or questions!
