We had an amazing turnout, despite the blustery weather, which had kept us from getting as much done ahead of time as we’d hoped for. Big thanks to everyone who braved the elements! Throughout the day we saw sunshine, wind, rain, blue skies, clouds, drizzle, and finally, a beautiful brilliant rainbow.
We got all our t-posts pounded, got most of the post holes dug (thanks to our neighbors and the generous loan of their tractor and auger), we got the first couple H-braces built, we had a delicious lunch, and I think it’s safe to say we all learned something and even had fun doing it!
We’ve decided to continue the fencing festivities with another workparty next weekend. So if you want to get in on the action you still can. We’ll be hanging and stretching the actual woven wire fencing material next Saturday, the 22nd. Bring your work gloves and come on out.
